命主上升 · Natal Ascendant
择时之盘，其上升宜落于命主本命上升之星座。¹ 若不知本命上升，可即时起盘、或给定一特定时空以推求之。
The election chart should rise in the same sign as the querent's natal Ascendant.¹ If it is unknown, cast a chart for the present moment, or supply a birth time and place to derive it.

择时魔法 · Election of Times
选用神星（可多选）。良好之操作时机²：用神星须尊贵（入庙）或擢升³，不燃烧⁴，不与凶星（♂ ♄）入相刑、冲、合，而与吉星（♀ ♃）有入相之吉相位；并合于所求之行星日、行星时与月相⁶。
Choose the planet(s) of the operation (multiple allowed). A sound time²: the planet in domicile or exaltation³, not combust⁴, applying to no square, opposition or conjunction of the malefics (♂ ♄), yet applying in good aspect to a benefic (♀ ♃); upon the proper planetary day, hour and moon phase⁶.

七政行星表 · The Seven Planets
黄经为回归黄道、真春分点；界用埃及界，十度用迦勒底序。Tropical longitudes, true equinox of date; Egyptian terms, Chaldean faces.
1择时上升承本命上升，谓之「盘承于命」。窗口即上升落于该星座之时段（每日约两小时）。The election's Ascendant inherits the natal Ascendant — "the chart rests upon the nativity." Each day offers a window of roughly two hours when that sign rises.
2相位容许度依古典光体（与宫神星网一致）：☉15° ☽12° ☿♀♂7° ♃♄9°，两星取光体半径之和；对四轴只计单星半径。入相 (applying →) 谓相位渐紧、力方成；出相 (separating ←) 谓相位已过、力渐散。行魔法宜取入相。Orbs follow the classical bodies of light (as almuten.net): ☉15° ☽12° ☿♀♂7° ♃♄9°; a pair's orb is the sum of their moieties; angles take the planet's moiety alone. An applying (→) aspect tightens, its virtue still gathering; a separating (←) aspect is past, its virtue dispersing. Work while the aspect applies.
3必然尊贵：庙 domicile／旺 exaltation／三分 triplicity（依昼夜，多罗修斯制）；游走 peregrine 无力；陷 detriment、弱 fall 为失势。Essential dignity: domicile / exaltation / triplicity (Dorothean, by sect); a peregrine planet is powerless; detriment and fall are debilitated.
4距太阳 8.5° 以内为燃烧；17′ 以内反为核心 cazimi（大吉）；15° 以内为光束下（小伤）。Within 8.5° of the Sun a planet is combust; within 17′ it is cazimi, in the heart of the Sun (excellent); within 15°, under the beams (a lesser affliction).
5行星时依迦勒底序（♄♃♂☉♀☿☽），自日出起算，昼夜各十二时，时长不均。行星日自日出更替。Planetary hours follow the Chaldean order (♄♃♂☉♀☿☽) from sunrise; twelve unequal hours by day and twelve by night. The planetary day changes at sunrise.
6月相：自朔至望为盈月，月光渐增，宜行增益、招引、创始之术；自望至朔为亏月，宜行消解、驱除、了结之术。新月前后月在日光下（燃烧），若以月为用神星宜避。Moon phase: from new to full the Moon waxes — favourable for works of increase, attraction and beginnings; from full to new she wanes — for works of decrease, banishing and endings. Near the new moon she lies combust beneath the Sun's beams; avoid this if she is the planet of the operation.
